For folk music enthusiasts and people who like music in traditional environments, the concept of Bingsjö is loaded with a special luster.
The songs that originated in the small village of Finnmark have inspired musicians all over the country - not to mention the whole world. It is danced on four courses, fiddle groups and groups are responsible for the music. Also, there are courses and hikes of various kinds. Then, the meeting's soul consists of spontaneous sessions in the entire meeting area called "Bush-play".
The event, which takes place at the beginning of July each year, is attended annually by between 7-12,000 people. About 350 campers spend the night for a few days in and adjacent to the village. The event requires a staff of about 175 officials who are recruited from the local area.
