Lake Amungen is home to various fish species, including pike, perch, trout, burbot, and whitefish.
This lake is a haven for pike fishing, with plenty of large pike weighing up to 14 kg being caught through trolling. The trout population is also abundant, and it's not uncommon to catch hefty ones weighing up to 8 kg. During October to November, when the whitefish spawn, there is an abundance of them in the lake, making them ideal for fishing using nets. The nets should have 18 mm between the knots. Other fish species in the lake include burbot, roach, ide, European chub, and common bream.
